| Day One |
We will pick you up from your hotel and
will depart Sydney around 9am on the King
Air. Fly to Toumbaal
Plains and spend the rest of the day either walking the beaches or
taking a kayak trip on the Sandon River. That evening a chef and
his team will prepare your own Wilderness dinner party as the sun sets. |
| Day Two |
Depart from Toumbaal Plains after breakfast
heading for the Great Barrier reef. We will land on a small coral
ringed island where the airstrip takes up its entire width. After having
a gourmet picnic lunch on the island we will soon head north for our
evening accommodation at wonderful hideaway of Bedarra Island.
That evening is spent on Bedarra
Island with a magnificent dinner and sunset drinks. |
| Day Three |
After breakfast we will be heading North
toward Lizard
Island at the top of the Great Barrier Reef. The view of the
reef today will be superb before we come into land across the lagoon in
front of Lizard Island. Lunch and the rest of the day is spent on
Lizard Island relaxing or fishing. If you like we can take you for
a joy flight to the outer reef or maybe to the tip of Australia, Cape
York and back. |
| Day Four |
Today we will be leaving the coast and
heading into the outback. After breakfast at Lizard Island we will
be heading for a 1 million acre cattle station, Wrotham Park
Station. Wrotham
Park Station is over 250 kilometers from the nearest town so it helps to
fly-in with your own King Air. You will spend the rest of the day
on Wrotham Park. |
| Day Five |
We will spend the entire day at Wrotham
Park so you can get a real appreciation for the Australian Outback and
the unique life involved in running such a large cattle station. |
| Day Six |
We will depart shortly after breakfast for
a flight to the central Queensland town of Longreach. We will stop
to visit the Stockman's
Hall of Fame and have lunch before heading South
toward Western New South Wales. That evening we will spend the
night with a family of farmers who run a station on the edge of the
outback so you will be able to share their stories directly. |
| Day Seven |
The final day may be spent taking a tour of
the station before heading back to Sydney after lunch or we could head
back earlier and take in a winery for lunch in one of the wine districts
on the way. We can decide this on the day depending on how we all
feel. |
