Pilots Information


Toumbaal Plains House is set on 200 acres surrounded by New South Wales largest coastal national park.  It is a truly unique location with views out to sea and along the coastal range and a great place to fly into to spend some time beside the ocean.

The airfield is available for use but you must contact us first to obtain permission.  While we have published some details of the airfield below and provided some photographs of the strip to assist you, should we grant you permission to land, we cannot accept any responsibility for any inaccuracy or error in the provision of the information.  As pilot in command it is your responsibility to ensure that the airfield is acceptable at the time you may decide to land assuming permission has been granted.

Location: 29°38.57°E 153°18.65S.  Just to the Northwest of Sandon Bluffs on the Armidale WAC (3357).

Looking down 18 at line up. Note slight down slope to area where pipes cross under strip. The last 100m of 18 note trees approximately 200m from end of 18  C182 departing 18 over the 360m cones.  C182 departing 18 at the 270m cones.

Note the up hill slope for around 250 metres and slight transitional slope.

A bit of action from the 2002 bushfires where Toumbaal House was the fire base and frankly pretty well protected from the fires!
